Congratulations to our staff, students, families, and the community for helping to become one of the 20 schools in the district selected as a “COMMUNITY” School. The staff worked tirelessly on the application and proposal process. Community Schools have an integrated focus on academics, health, social services and community engagement that leads to improved student learning, stronger families and a healthier community.
Catskill offers School for Advanced Studies. SAS is designed for exemplary Gifted and Talented Education implementation. SAS sites offer high quality academic opportunities that meet the unique educational needs of K-12 gifted learners.
We are also in the second year of our Spanish Dual Language Program. We now offer dual language classes in kindergarten and grade one. Students learn California Content Standards in two languages.
Our dedicated teachers also volunteer and hold after school clubs. Flyers with information about these clubs will be sent home at a later time.
Our enthusiastic office team is registering new families, ordering needed materials, and updating student files. Our hard working custodial staff has spent the entire summer cleaning our school. Our Parent Center is gearing up to welcome families to volunteer in school. Our teachers are excited to have students back in the classroom and having the school filled with positive energy and enthusiasm for learning.
It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build relationships that support academic and social growth.
Sincerely, Mrs. S. Zopatti Principal
